**About the Opportunity**Epsilon is seeking a Database Developer to implement, maintain and support our hosted marketing database systems. This role is responsible for the development, implementation and testing of data extraction, transformation and load programs for large marketing database projects. As part of the technical delivery team, the Database Developer will work with the internal project delivery team to design solutions and implement programs according to the requirements and timelines specified in each statement of work. **Responsibilities** * Works with Business System Analysts and key stakeholders to understand, define and document business requirements as well as with functional and technical specifications. * Analyzes and defines data flow requirements and prepares applicable system documentation and operation manuals as needed. * Designs, defines, develops and implements initial data loads for database marketing projects. * Performs transformation and loading of data according to the business specifications. * Supports production data loads and ongoing refreshes of the database systems. * Defines, prepares, executes and implements data validation and unit testing methods to ensure data quality. * Performs enlacements and bug fixes as required. * Works with project team to plan, design and maintain re-useable development standards that help implement each solution and/or enhancements to existing systems to meet current and future needs. **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s Degree required. * 5 + years of overall database development experience is required. * 3 + years of experience in PL/SQL development is required. * 3+ years of experience writing Unix Shell and/or PERL scripting required. * Experience, knowledge and understanding of relational databases including Oracle is required. Knowledge and experience with Netezza is a plus. * Experience with data warehouse environments, data integration and relational data modeling is strongly preferred. * Must have the ability to gather business requirements from the client and translate those requirements into technical specifications when needed. * The ideal candidate will be deadline focused, detail oriented, well organized and self-motivated with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and manage time efficiently. * Occasional on-call support on a rotating basis may be required. * This position requires little to no travel. **Qualifications** **Conditions of Employment** All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of drug screen and background checks. **Epsilon International** Epsilon International (http://ift.tt/1es7eX5), is a leading provider of strategic, ROI-focused email communications solutions and marketing automation technologies.
