The Sr. Project Lead II - SDE candidate will be part of the Enterprise AD Channels & Integration shared service team focused on implementation of MetLife integration capabilities on global platforms including Marketing, Sales, Service, CRM, Call Center front-end applications and Global Intranet and Collaboration Platform. The Senior Project Lead II - SDE is responsible for the design, development and implementation of applications following the full systems development lifecycle (SDLC). **Functional Responsibilities:** * Manage multiple development projects and discoveries to execute the integration strategy for Channels & integration group. * Working independently, manages large scale projects or oversees multiple related large scale projects. * Identifies resources needed, assembles project team, assigns individual responsibilities. * Determines scope and documents scope and deliverables based on documentation and requirements supplied. * Creates and administers project plan. * Communicates with Project Management counterparts, customers and project stakeholders to ensure continuing alignment with project objectives. * Manages stakeholders (customers, vendors, etc.) and team expectations. * Manages assigned resources to ensure on-time completion of planned tasks. * Provides senior management and stakeholders with project status. * Identifies and mitigates issues and risks. * Facilitates project meetings and produces meeting minutes. * Creates project status using defined templates. * Creates and maintains of project documentation. **Supervisory Responsibilities:** Acts a project manager and provides guidance to lower level staff. **Job Requirements** **Required Experience:** * 8+ years of working experience in IT or related experience. 4 - 6+ years project management experience including: * Previous experience and knowledge of PMO * Experience working on transactional eCommerce systems and applications * Experience with integration technologies including IBM Websphere Message Broker, IBM Cast Iron, IBM DataPower, IBM WSRR. * Experience managing offshore teams * Excellent written and verbal communication skills **Preferred Experience:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred, or equivalent experience required. * PMP or ITIL certification preferred * Previous experience managing offshore teams **Travel:** 10 – 15% Business Category Global Technology & Operations Job Category Information Technology Number of Openings 1 Equal Employment Opportunity MetLife is proud to be an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
