Job Location Raleigh, NC Virtual Location No Job Description IT Infrastructure Financial Portfolio Analyst will be part of a team whose focus is on defining strategy and delivering services to support the Regional Application Development IT organization, including financial analysis of IT infrastructure portfolios, streamlining processes, improving quality and reducing effort. The team will support portfolio managers on infrastructure financial analysis and reporting. This role will also support the application portfolio and assist with decommissioning of applications. The primary focus for this position will be financial analysis of the IT infrastructure portfolio but will also have responsibilities for other administration support activities. **Responsibilities**: * Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting cycles of an IT Infrastructure portfolio * Lead annual budget planning process, including collaborating with other groups to plan for impacts application changes that may require infrastructure increases * Lead application decommissioning activities * Coordinate requests for new applications and billing codes * Investigate material variances/inconsistencies identified during reconciliations, determine root cause of the issue and resolve by working with source data contacts * Participate on cross-functional teams and provide input to decisions regarding enterprise portfolio governance, best practices and tool utilization * Develop and implement plans to rollout and train on new and/or enhanced processes * Provide updates to senior leadership (verbal and written) **Supervisory Experience**: * No formal supervisory responsibilities but ability to lead and mentor team members **Required Experience and Competencies**: * 7+ years working experience * 5+ years financial management experience * Experience managing/analyzing complex IT portfolio financials * Strong financial acumen * Strong problem solving and business analysis skills with ability to analyze facts and develop logical conclusions * Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize assignments and deliverables, work within tight time constraints * Goal oriented self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team * Proficient in the Microsoft tool suite with advanced to expert skill level in both SharePoint and MS PowerPoint (financial slides, charts and graphs) * Excellent customer relationship, communications and presentation skills with ability to partner with associates at all levels of the organization * Ability to partner across virtual, global teams **Preferred Experience:** * Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Management Systems or other related field * Experience working in EIBR or Apptio applications * Experience working in an IT organization and with IT portfolio financials * Accounting functional knowledge and proficiency * Previous experience in insurance or financial services industry * Process mindset with ability to quickly identify current business processes, deficiencies and improvement opportunities * Good documentation skills Business Category Global Technology & Operations Job Category Information Technology Number of Openings 1 Equal Employment Opportunity MetLife is proud to be an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
