Job Location Current - 5411 Page Rd, Durham, NC Future- 9000 Weston Pkwy, Cary, NC Virtual Location No Job Description Summary of responsibilities This individual will be responsible to overall strategic development, direction and implementation for MetLife "Mobility Services". This role will require a change agent who has successfully led similarly scoped projects including implementation of standard global mobility technologies. The service provides guidance and direction on how business and associate productivity can be transformed using Mobility Services. Successful candidates for this role will be able to present resumes which chronicle achievements in developing and implementing mobility as part of an overarching strategic initiative. An integral element to this strategy includes addressing (and solving) issues around security, Bring Your Own Device “BYOD”, cost savings/mitigation, as well as platform evaluation/maximization. A partial list of the current MetLife environment includes Blackberry, Good, Apple and various carriers globally. Additionally, working in a cross functional/matrixed environment, the successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to influence others while maintaining positive working relationships at all levels of engagement. List of responsibilities * Facilitates the growth of mobile capabilities within MetLife and collaborates with other IT groups to ensure that computing infrastructures such as Network, Desktop Design, and Server domains are capable of supporting the Mobility demand. * Builds internal/external client relationships and understanding of business Mobility needs and strategic direction. * Leads transformational initiatives focused on improving the client experience and simplifying the way we do business for internal and external clients. * Works with Finance and Service Management Costing to determine appropriate chargeback of Mobility Services via a Service Catalog. * Works with Operations team to develop and to implement a global support operating model. Required expertise * 5+ years of mobile operating systems, mobile device management systems, mobile communications technologies (GSM, Wi-Fi, etc.), Fixed Mobile Convergence, and Unified Communications. * 3+ plus years in senior management position related to IT within a large mobile enterprise environment. * 3+ years working with, and being responsible for, financial outcomes, budgets, and staffing. Preferred experience * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related discipline), or 5 years of equivalent experience * Knowledge of mobile & telecommunications security policies.
