## Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * The successful candidate will plan, administer and design small to medium size transportation or site civil projects * Perform roadway and/or traffic design tasks as a member of design team for local, arterial and interstate roadways * Manage design staff as lead engineer on project tasks * Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction; ensure client objectives are met * Responsible for marketing, writing proposals, winning work, maintaining and developing key client relationships * Participate in client-rich professional organizations and functions * Train and mentor young professionals ## Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: * BSCE required * OR PE required; licenses in other states a plus * 8+ years engineering experience with a background in transportation and/or site civil design, including a combination of roadway, traffic, storm water, irrigation design and utility relocations. * A minimum of 1 year experience managing tasks, small projects and professional staff. * Solid understanding of civil design and construction standards, and environmental conditions / constraints. * Must possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets * Demonstrated skills developing relationships with municipal, county and state agencies in support of transportation and/or site civil projects * Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, hydrology modeling and MS software applications (including MS Project); Microstation and Inroads a plus * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff and management * Adaptability and ability to respond quickly and accurately under pressure * Candidate must possess a valid Oregon State Driver’s License; must be able to meet company insurability requirements. * Must be willing to travel up to 25% PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
