Based in Grand Prairie, Texas. Extensive travel is required • Identify new business opportunities for air and missile defense and adjacent areas and establish the strategy for capturing those opportunities • Interface with the customer and shape their opportunities, taking into account requirements, existing capabilities and funding availability • Develop and maintain productive business relationships with relevant current and potential domestic and international organizations, partner companies and suppliers • Coordinate activities with appropriate US government offices and country teams to garner and sustain their support and to ascertain current status of initiatives within the US Government • Initiate required Department of State export licenses to market products internationally • Act as the primary contact for customer inquiries, general correspondence, requests for technical and pricing data, and other business transactions • Participate in Foreign Military Sales contract negotiations with the US Government and in Direct Commercial Sales contract negations with foreign customers • Develop and manage input for the company s Long Range Operating Plan • Assist program management in proposal development • Develop overhead, capital and new business acquisition expenditure requirements • Conduct business in strict compliance with all corporate and company command media and within applicable state, federal, and international regulations. Must have ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. Basic Qualifications • 18+ years of business development and/or operational experience • Complete understanding of the Department of Defense Security Assistance Management processes • Detailed understanding and experience with the US Army acquisition processes • Expert in all aspects of air and missile defense to include tactical operations, technical capabilities, defense planning and training • Experience with Air and Missile Defense forces worldwide • Superior knowledge of potential customers and demonstrated customer relations skills • Ability to understand and interpret customers' needs and requirements and relate them back to programmatic requirements • Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to clearly articulate strategies at multiple levels of business and government • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills • Team player – effective at organizing and motivating a diverse set of individuals to accomplish objectives • A high degree of flexibility and the ability to travel worldwide, without restriction Desired skills • Experience in Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control s air and missile defense products and services • Demonstrated capture expertise • Experience with non-US countries acquisition processes • International business experience with knowledge of cultures and customs • Speaks foreign language(s) Security Clearance Secret LMCareers Business Unit ESS0385 MISSILES AND FIRE CONTROL Business Area Missiles and Fire Control Department DGRLCB:BUS DEV I - INTL OPER Job Class Business Development Job Category Experienced Professional City Grand Prairie State Texas Virtual No Relocation Available Yes Work Schedule FLEX9x80A-Friday off in 2nd week w/flex hrs/day Req Type Full-Time Direct/Indirect Indirect Shift First
