Job Title : Sampler
Job Location (Department / Plant) : Operation - Laboratory
Reporting To : Chemist
Division / Department Description
The Chemistry Department is responsible in efficient sampling and accurate analyses of samples, and
providing timely and appropriate recommendations to O&M groups to ensure reliable plant operations. This
is to make sure that capacity and availability of the client's power requirements (as per RAWEC-Petro Rabigh
Agreement) are met and maintained
Department Objectives
Ensure 100% calibration of all the lab equipment (pre-identified equipments that need calibration) with
complete documentation.
Ensure 100% of all routine lab activities are performed and logged; report any incidents which lead to
deviations.
100% completion of all inter- department job request.
Zero deviation on the preparation of chemical dosing to boilers and cooling tower.
Zero incidents/accidents on lab activities and on unloading of bulk chemical/flobbins; 100% compliance
in PPE usage.
Documents preparation as per QA requirements for ISO certification. Zero discrepancy after ISO
certification completed.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Follow instruction and guidance from chemist, Lab Supervisor, Lab. Asst. Section Head & Chem. Head
on all lab activities.
Performs collection of water / solid samples and keeping the sampling area free from sample spillages.
Performs filling of dosing chemicals, adjustment of dosing pump strokes, and cleaning of dosing areas
under the supervision of Chemist.
Performs the daily recording of dosing tanks level and dosing pump strokes.
Performs cleaning of glass wares, lab work areas, fume hood and house- keeping.
Assist the Chemist in chemicals/glassware/equipment inventory.
Assist during chemical unloading activity.
Follow safety rules & operating standards during working hours.
Perform any other related job that maybe assigned by the Chem. Head, Lab. Asst. Section Head, Lab
Supervisor and Chemist
Qualification: Education/Training/Professional License
(List the professional / Academic / General qualifications and specialist knowledge required.)
High School graduate
Basic knowledge in reading graduation scale, and about 50% of job scope
Qualification: Experience
(Length of job experience and any specific industry experience.)
Good English communication skills
