*Salary Range:£26-30k dependent on experience *
Location: Burgess Hill, West Sussex, UK

**There is no relocation package available for this role.
Overall Purpose:
*Working as part of the RCUK HR Team to provide a generalist service to managers within one or more Departments. *
To ensure that the delivery of HR services is proactive and puts the customer first whilst not compromising the need to maintain a profession approach and adhere to best practice.
To undertake project work when required and act as a focal point for one or more HR activities.
Travel- c. 10% of the time.__
Key Accountabilities:
Client Group Relationships
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with line managers
Be proactive in the execution of HR deliverables to the business area(s).
Provide a proactive and generalist HR service, including:
Investigation of formal employee complaints and make recommendations for the company's response/action.
Ensuring that employment legislation and best practice is followed to minimize exposure to liability.
Working with the HR Business Partner to prepare for and consult with Joint Consultative Committee on local initiatives that impact employees and/or their terms and conditions.
Providing guidance to managers and employees on HR programs & practices.
Providing guidance to leaders in the use of job profiles, bands and salary ranges, ensuring fair and equitable compensation practices.
Supporting the HR Business Partner through restructuring / reorganizing initiatives
Performing recruitment activities, including internal and external sourcing.
Project Work
To undertake project work as required.
To be the focal point for at least one HR activity, eg Recruitment systems.

Qualifications
Educated to degree level (or equivalent) and possess a relevant HR professional qualification -D
Graduate CIPD - D
Experience of working in a junior generalist Human Resources capacity - M
Results orientated and able to develop personal credibility and effective business relationships - M
Flexible and adaptable approach to delivering against multiple work requirements to tight deadlines -M
Excellent analytical skills - M
Excellent planning, communication and influencing skills - M
