Description: Performs full range of procurement and administration activities associated with subcontracting work within KBR’s Corporate Procurement Group (GPG). Qualifies suppliers, issues requests for proposals, evaluates proposals, maintains subcontract files in accordance with established procedures.Is responsible for the procurement of services required by KBR’s internal corporate departments e.g. IT, HR etc. Reports to the CPG Lead and works under the instruction and supervision of the Corporate Subcontracts Supervisor. Works closely with KBR’s internal corporate departments to ensure their requirements are met, on time and for the most competitive price.Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Source Suppliers
- Prepare and Execute Tenders
- Evaluate Bids
- Negotiate Terms and Commercial Requirements
- Prepare and Award Written Contracts
- Liaise with Legal and International Trade Compliance Office when required
- Expedite Suppliers
- Completing Contractual Close Outs
- Liaising with internal corporate customers to ensure their needs are met and plan for future requirements
- General problem solving
- Assisting with Audits
Ideal Person /Qualifications:
- Degree Level (preferable but not essential)
- Quick to pick up new IT systems
- Eager to learn about contracts and subcontracts
- Excellent Communication
- Proficient Organisation
- Pro-Active and ability to prioritize
- Strong work ethic
- Able to work in team
