Responsibilities Team Lead will spend 45% of time covering manager vacation and time away providing competency training & patient experience training, and staffing for float pool. Team Lead to assist physicians of SVMG in administering quality direct and/or indirect patient care. Must be able to perform all procedures and selected nursing and administrative duties. Essential functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned. ¿Coordinates and facilitates coverage and scheduling of daily tasks of department team members. ¿Reviews and supervises the quality and quantity of work and/or assignments performed by team members and provides direction and redirection as necessary. ¿Orients new hires, updates staff on policy changes and provides training when necessary. ¿Helps prepare and properly maintain the practice site to ensure consistent compliance with the requirements of all state and regulatory entities. ¿Assists with problem resolution of daily issues within the department. ¿Through regular meetings, assists in the establishment of team goals with manager to identify strengths and weaknesses of team members and provide coaching and training when necessary. ¿In conjunction with the manager, contributes to the initial and yearly evaluations of each team member. ¿Communicates regularly with manager concerning professional needs of the team, suggestions and/or recommendations the team wishes to implement, and problems identified with team members or work duties. ¿Participates in regularly scheduled meetings with other leadership members to communicate updates, problems identified and challenges with the purpose of developing action plans accordingly. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent is required. Three (3) years of progressive leadership experience in a medical setting. Associate and/or Bachelors degree in a healthcare-related field is required. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred. Pediatric and physician office experience is preferred.
