Title: Manager II, Product Line Business Development Location: North Carolina-Charlotte The AREVA Reactors & Services Business Group: The Reactors and Services Business Group combines the nuclear reactor design and construction activities and the products and services activities necessary for the maintenance, operation, modernization, and improvement of power plants. It also includes vessel propulsion nuclear reactor and research reactor activities. AREVA is currently constructing four EPR™ reactors, of generation III . Job Description: AREVA is seeking a Manager II, Product Line Business Development. Responsible for the business planning process for multiple product lines for the company or a major product line.This position is specifically for the IBU Product Line on Engineering of Choice contracts. The individual provides management and their staff with appropriate consultation to aid them in managing their business unit product lines and strategic direction. Position has lead responsibility for understanding customer’s expectations on EOC or engineering services contracts and working with Regional Manager’s to establish and maintain favorable relationships with customer personnel. Position has cost center responsibilities, may have multiple work group responsibilities, and participates in legal matters. Incumbent has final authority in employee performance and development and long term planning responsibilities. In addition, this position will be the overall AREVA South Texas Project Alliance Manager, which will include both the Engineering services work and the existing Pump and Motor activities. This will also be extended to include future EPC activities performed under ADZ going forward. The position will be the main POC for AREVA and STP senior management for AREVA activities. Position objectives include managing existing EOC contracts and execution as well as PL growth in obtaining additional EOC contracts. The position will have EOC directors reporting directly who have the day to day management responsibility. The position will have specific financial and growth objectives established. Responsibilities and duties include: * Guiding the business planning process for Eng. Services or EOC product lines, validating business and technical action plans and resource allocation plans so that the company reaches the level of market share expected by the group. * Defining technical and commercial priorities so that direct EOC directors/managers align their commercial and technical policies and processes with the company’s best practices. * Set objectives and directs a team so that all business players develop a level of competencies and performances in line with customer and business requirements. * Provides strategic and market based recommendations to Business Line Management to achieve committed financial objectives. All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position. * BS in a technical or business discipline PLUS 15 years of related work. An MBA or other advanced degree may substitute for 1-2 years of related work experience. * Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments * Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively will all levels of staff and management. * Well-developed leadership qualities. * Ability to change priorities quickly, confront issues directly and work well as part of a team. * Superb written and verbal communication skills. * Proficiency with PC-based applications such as MS Office.
