Cargill Food Distribution – Providing our employees with thefreedom to deliver. Cargill Food Distribution has an opportunity available for aSales Professional A, located inOklahoma City, OK. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-today relationship with designated accounts: pricing, supply, special requirements, credit; leading identification of solutions with those accounts: product based (in coordination with Business Development & Technology/Ops when applicable) and service based; facilitating value creation (project execution) and value capture (negotiation) of solutions in a cross functional/cross company setting; Developing account plans and monitoring progress. Principal Accountabilities: * 50% Account managing responsibilities such as problem solving, value creation for customers, negotiating & able to adapt to markets. This includes prospecting new accounts and growing a book of business through sales activities; cold-calls and customer interaction. * 30% Travel, which will consist of well organized sales calls. All energy away from the office will be to focus on new product lines, alternative products, and solutions that will aligns with the organizational goals. * 10% Projections, organization of accounts, and documented sales calls. * 10% Project work and personal development goals. Qualifications: Required: * At least 1 year sales, merchandising, and/or buying experience work experience required * Demonstrated knowledge of Beef, Pork and Poultry products/markets * Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently * Demonstrated strong negotiation skills * Strong organizational skills * Demonstrated leadership * Demonstrated strong communications and customer presence, with key/strategic account mgmt role * Effective team player * Intermediate Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint) Preferred: * Bachelors Degree * SAP system experience * Sales experience for CMS BU / XLGO system experience This position has been posted both internally and externally.
