Job Summary: This position will be responsible for the implementation, management, and support of servers, backups, VMware, data centers, and all related hardware and software. The ideal candidate should be able to evaluate hardware and software technologies to improve efficiency and performance, participate in projects to upgrade or migrate existing infrastructure systems and services. This position requires the ability to learn quickly and work independently, with minimal supervision.Principal Responsibilities: •Support Active Directory, Exchange 2010, and Microsoft Certificate Authority•Maintain best practices and procedures for patch management, virus management, and operating system upgrades•Diagnose and resolve problems for servers, services, desktop users, printers, and associated software and hardware•Create and maintain documentation and procedures•Install, configure, and maintain SharePoint 2007 2013•Resolve SharePoint application and user problems•Maintain and support multiple datacenter sites, and monitoring of daily operations•Plan and coordinate upgrades, maintenance, and installations of existing and new computing infrastructure•Perform system backups•Perform routine audits and capacity planning of systems and software•Image desktops and serversMinimum Qualifications: •7+ years experience in IT•Bachelors degree in computer science and industry certifications or demonstrated equivalent of experience•Demonstrated experience with Microsoft server technologies (Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012)•Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, including evaluation, recommendation, administration, installation and support and design of group policy environments•Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Exchange 2010, SMTP, DNS, DHCP, VMware, and System Backups and Recovery•Experience with Dell hardware•Extensive knowledge in Windows 7 and 8, Microsoft Office products, and Mac OSX•Networking (LAN) and TCP-IP knowledge•Solid knowledge of operating system internals, file system structures, and server architectures•Strong professional, interpersonal, communication, multi-tasking skills, and the ability to work well within a team environment•Excellent written communication skillsEssential Job Functions:•Strong coordination, organization and communication (both verbal and written) skills•Ability to work under pressure with time constraints•Problem-solving•Frequent computer and telephone use•Sitting for long periods of time•Lifting up to 50 pounds•Concentrating for long periods of timeFLSA Exemption: ComputerPrimary duty of this position is the performance of work requiring the application of systems analysis techniques and procedures including documentation, testing, and modification of computer systems and programs.
