Title: Garage Manager Location: US-VA-Harrisonburg Job Number: HAR00119 Cargill Value Added Meats Retail facilities utilize state-of-the-art beef, pork and turkey processing capabilities to deliver high-quality meat products to our partners. Advanced technologies and imaginative people create innovative solutions and distinctive value for our customers. Our retail customers come to us from traditional grocers, supermarkets and warehouse clubs to provide their meat and deli needs. We provide innovative solutions for their fresh meat case, frozen meat departments, deli counters, and more. Cargill Value Added Meats Retail has an opportunity available for a Garage Manager at our Dayton, VA facility. This position is responsible for maintaining the fleet for the Dayton Complex & Distribution Center of road vehicles. This position will also supervise a staff to include maintenance mechanics and parts room personnel. In addition, this position is responsible for Environmental Health & Safety, DOT for all garage and live haul operations. This position will also be involved in accident recovery and any related investigation. Qualifications:Qualifications:. * A minimum of four (4) years fleet maintenance experience. * A minimum of four (4) years supervisory experience * Working knowledge of DOT, EPA and OSHA * Demonstrated skills of team building, conflict resolution, innovation and change within the work force * Effective communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills at multiple levels of Cargill and customer organizations. * Effective computer skills. Preferences: * 4 year college degree * Knowlege of ISO 14001 and/or OHSAS 18001 * valid CDL Job: Operations Cargill is an EEO/AA employer.
