Humana is seeking a Technology project manager that will oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the project cycle, with responsibilities including project design, scope management, cost control, and both quality and performance reporting. **Responsibilities:** * Release coordination and planning for enterprise core platform system. * Ensures end results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit. * Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs * Lead Team of developers involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners. * Create detailed project design documents and task-level project plans to organize cross-functional teams * Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements * Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing * Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures * Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses * Accountable for one or more initiatives including business, operational, and IT deliverables. * Has direct oversight over all aspects of the program life cycle and works with matrix IT partners to oversee all SDLC phases of its components projects. * Rigorously manages program scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters. * Validates financial forecasts and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures. * Develops communication plans and interfaces to execute on responsibilities * Chairs weekly Core Team meetings to review progress with key constituents. * Defines and tracks team milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan. * Has working knowledge of the IT PMO and governance model. * Publishes periodic project status reports. * Proposes recommendations and adjustments **Key Competencies** * Builds Trust: Consistently models and inspires high levels of integrity, lives up to commitments, and takes responsibility for the impact of one''s actions. * Collaborates: Engages others by gathering multiple views and being open to diverse perspectives, focusing on a shared purpose that puts Humana''s overall success first. * Executes for Results: Effectively leverages resources to create exceptional outcomes, embraces change, and constructively resolves barriers and constraints. * Interpersonal Effectiveness: Understands oneself, effectively manages emotions, listens and communicates with respect, and builds trusting relationships. ## Qualifications **Role Essentials** * Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or equivalent experience * Working knowledge of various relational databases, including .NET, C#, ASP, SQL and Oracle * Prior experience in the health solutions industry * Prior experience with Clarity, PMO, SDLC and Agile processes * Previous experience planning and managing large projects **Role Desirables** * Preventive Maintenance Program and/or Six Sigma certification * Project Management Institute certification * Previous experience planning and managing large projects * Prior experience in the health solutions industry **Reporting Relationships** * You will report to a Technology Director.
