Humana is seeking a Communications Consultant who will create and utilize information, tools, and solutions to effectively communicate Humana’s messages and strategies to identified internal and external audiences. * Define, package and communicate Humana''s employment brand * Facilitate Humana''s culture transformation and communicate both the strategic and tactical elements of our human capital agenda * Build and execute our acquisition communications strategy, from engaging employees in the initial announcement through the close, the transition and the integration. * Drive and measure associate engagement * Support our diversity strategy * Developing products that Humana will take to market by designing communication tools for engaging our own employees in becoming savvy consumers of health care and helping them choose and use their benefits **Key Competencies** * **_Builds Trust:_** Consistently models and inspires high levels of integrity, lives up to commitments, and takes responsibility for the impact of one''s actions. * **_Accountability:_** Meets established expectations and takes responsibility for achieving results; encourages others to do the same. * **_Executes for Results:_** Effectively leverages resources to create exceptional outcomes, embraces change, and constructively resolves barriers and constraints. * **_Interpersonal Effectiveness:_** Understands oneself, effectively manages emotions, listens and communicates with respect, and builds trusting relationships. ## Qualifications **Role Essentials** * Bachelor degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, HR, or related degree program. * Prior demonstrated experience in Corporate Communications, Internal Communications, Human Resources, or related fields. * Strong writing and editing skills a must, preferably using AP Style. * Excellent verbal communication skills * A minimum of 5 years of communications experience * Ability to adapt writing for a variety of audiences and communications vehicles such as Internet/intranet sites, employee newsletters, social media and e-mail. * Demonstrated ability to work well under the pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple projects at once and prioritize work effectively. * Comprehensive understanding of MS PowerPoint **Role Desirables** * Prior experience using SharePoint Adobe Creative Suite * Exposure to or experience with executive communications orspeech writing a plus. **Reporting Relationships** You will report to a Strategic Consultant.
