(USA-NY-New York) Quality Informatics Analyst / Data Analyst
Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is a world renowned organization dedicated to the progressive control and cure of cancer through programs of patient care, research, and education. The Quality Informatics Analyst brings experience in data management, statistics, and project management to the informatics group in the Quality Assessment Department at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The Analyst will work directly on particular data modeling, data analysis and systems design projects, and work in collaboration with other data analysts on the design and implementation of others. This person will continually push the boundaries of the team’s capabilities in quality informatics, and will share what they learn with the group, increasing the overall capacity of the group to take on new projects and to apply new methods. Our ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in Statistics, Computer Science, Informatics or related field and the following abilities: * Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken * The ability to work independently and as a strong team player * The ability to scope out client reporting needs by filtering requirements from multiple parties. * A true understanding of how individual data elements are leveraged in business processes. * The ability to organize and present data in a way that tells compelling stories and drives decisions. * Can focus on complex data to identify and analyze questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in the data. * Proficient in relational database and analytic tools with the ability design and develop complex SQL queries as a part of quality measurement. * Must be results driven, have a strong sense of urgency, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be flexible in prioritizing projects and tasks to ensure maximum productivity while meeting deadlines. * Ability toprogram in C#, R, SAS or Python is a strong plus. This is a highly visible role and requires a certain level of professionalism and comfort interacting with and presenting to senior leadership.
