For more information, visit _http://www.phillips66.com/_ or follow us on Twitter _@Phillips66Co_. **Responsibilities may include:** * Oversee the purchase of approximately 650 mbpd of pipeline crude for P66’s Central Refining system. * Work closely with Refineries to develop STOP plan. Champion dialogue with the refineries to determine and optimize central crude slate. * Work closely with our traders in Houston, Calgary, and Lease offices to optimize the crude slate versus the STOP plan. * Work closely with the refineries to review and approve Supply & Logistics contracts that impact their System. * Work with plants/traders to maintain accurate crude availability assumptions. * Serve as Central Crude LRP Point Person. * Manage, with the scheduling team, the supply of crude to the System and to proactively deal with any refinery issues. * Review end-of-month inventory at each plant and decide if hedges are needed. * Prepare and report central crude substitution earnings for F&PA.; * Participate in monthly STOP and Common Crude meetings. * Work closely with F&PA; to review crude costs and participate in calls with refineries to review them as needed. * Serve as resource for Central Refining System studies and projects. * Identify additional p/l space to optimize crude slates for the Central System. * Provide and understand market direction and intelligence by conversations with Trading Group to better optimize crude selection and help refineries plan future runs. **Basic/Required:** * Legally authorized to work in the United States * Bachelor’s Degree * 5+ years of Commercial experience in the fuel industry and value chain (refining, marketing, transportation) * Proficiency of MS Excel , Word, PowerPoint, Outlook * Must have the ability and willingness to work extended and non-standard hours, and/or be available 24/7 for questions/updates, and cover all issues during weekend or holiday coverage **Preferred:** * Direct refinery operations support experience * 1+ years’ experience working with financial products/contracts used in commodity trading and risk management (swaps, options, futures and forwards) * 3+ years’ experience scheduling petroleum products * 1+ years of experience with hedging * 1+ year of contracts negotiation * Understanding of US crude waterborne movements, inventory, crude oil contracts * 1+ year experience with the mid/back office duties of a global energy trading organization * Analytical approach to problem solving * Self-motivated * Ability to adapt to changing market conditions * Comfortable with taking risk In order to be considered for this position you must complete the entire application process, which includes answering all prescreening questions and providing your eSignature on or before the requisition closing date of **March 14, 2014.** Candidates for regular U.S. positions must be a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee, asylee or temporary resident under 8 U.S.C. 1160(a) or 1255(a)(1).
