Min Qualifications Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field with 9 years of relevant work experience. Job Description: Responsible for directing and coordinating the day to day financial management activities of the UTMB Hospitals and Clinics, including financial and operational analysis and reporting, decision support, benchmarking, operating and capital budgeting, financial planning and forecasting, business plan development support, and other financial management activities. The Executive Director works directly with Finance, and Hospital and Clinic leadership to establish effective financial management functions in the Hospitals and Clinics. Salary Range Commensurate with experience Specific Job Related Duties ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Develops a modern and effective financial management infrastructure (personnel and technology) to support the financial management needs of the Hospitals and Clinics - Responsible for financial and operational analysis and reporting, decision support, benchmarking, operating and capital budgeting, financial planning and forecasting, and business plan development support - Analyzes and evaluates data and utilizes effective means to communicate key financial and operational trends to leadership such as dashboards, scorecards, exception reporting, etc., on a timely basis - Advises leadership on current healthcare industry trends - Manages the integrity of the Hospital and Clinic general ledger - Coordinates shared and corporate level finance and accounting activities such as general accounting, payroll and accounts payable - Provides support to Hospital and Clinic strategic workgroups and other committees - Establishes an effective internal control environment in the Hospitals and Clinics - Develops strategies and plans to achieve financial and strategic objectives - Sets and monitors goals for Hospital and Clinic finance staff and periodically reviews staff member’s performance - Participates in planning, development and implementation of administrative information systems - Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure. MARGINAL OR PERIODIC FUNCTIONS: - Performs related duties as assigned.
