(USA-VA-Dahlgren) Senior Emergency Manager
The HSSI Senior Emergency Manager is a full time exempt position requiring a professional with specialized expertise in analysis and mitigation strategies related to vulnerability assessment, emergency operations and related emergency management technologies. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Have a thorough understanding of policies, procedures, and terminology as well as direct experience in design, development, conduct, evaluation, and improvement planning for exercises. 2. Must have knowledge of emergency and /or disaster planning principles and practices. 3. Must have knowledge of the laws and regulations governing emergency management. 4. Must be proficient in MS Office applications. 5. Must be organized, detail-oriented and have ability to prioritize and multi task. 6. Must have excellent writing and oral speaking skills. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Minimum of 6 years’ emergency management experience required. 2. Training in emergency preparedness, emergency management exercises, public safety and first responder practices or equivalent strongly preferred. 3. Must possess a valid driver’s license. 4. Must possess or have ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as applicable. 5. Must successfully complete an HSSI background check. 6.
